Principle of operation

After dyeing with reactive dyes, unbound dye on the fiber surface must be removed through high-temperature soaping. To achieve the desired anti-staining and soaping performance, it is essential to understand the underlying principles of the soaping process:

1. During soap washing, the removal of floating color and re-staining are a dynamic equilibrium process; the product must effectively prevent dyes in the soap wash liquor from re-adsorbing onto the fabric.

2. The structures of different dyes vary; for example, vinyl sulfone-type dyes (such as Reactive Turquoise) form ether linkages with the fiber. Given the relatively poor alkali resistance of these bonds, high-alkali, high-temperature soaping should be avoided, as this can easily lead to bond cleavage between the dye and the fiber, resulting in the formation of unfixed dye.

3. Water hardness, defined as the concentration of calcium, magnesium, and iron, must be taken into account. Given that many factories reuse treated water, and that the levels of heavy metals in the water can also affect the performance of soap detergents, the product should possess a certain water-softening capability.

In response to the issues encountered with conventional reactive stain-removal soap washing, our company has recently launched XH-2510, a cutting-edge stain-removal soap detergent that delivers highly effective stain-prevention performance. It efficiently chelates iron, calcium, magnesium, and other metal ions, thereby softening water quality; its pH is close to neutral, and it effectively removes unfixed reactive dyes and other foreign matter from fabrics. This product is particularly well-suited for reactive garment tie-dyeing, hanging dyeing, and other related processing techniques.
