The customer employs an open-fiber, sand-prevention washing process that demands a smooth, clean fabric surface with a soft hand and strong nap. During the open-fiber step, open-fiber agent XH-2201 is used to first perform acid-based fiber opening, causing the modal fibers to undergo primary fibrillation and resulting in nap of varying lengths. Subsequently, polishing enzyme XH-1218 is applied for polishing treatment to reduce the nap to a uniform consistency.

When the color tone is roughly consistent, the standard water-affected effect can be achieved; the waterless process tends to lean more toward a bluish tint, mainly because it hasn’t undergone the water-softening step. The finished piece will still need to be bleached afterward, but the overall difference is minimal.

The customer employs anhydrous enzymatic dry milling and low-water enzymatic treatment, thereby reducing water consumption during the enzymatic washing stage. The resulting fabric’s fleckiness, resist dyeing performance, and overall milling quality are consistent with those achieved using conventional methods, all without the use of stones.

Previously, the customer used a conventional spring-season softener; however, when processing composite fabrics or other special fabrics, the softening effect was often insufficient, leading to frequent changes of softener and resulting in inconsistent hand feel across product batches.
Now, by using our company’s three high-concentration raw materials for formulation, the softener produced according to the provided recipe delivers a softer hand feel than the customer’s current softener, with minimal color change and no adverse impact on colorfastness. Moreover, it reduces costs by more than RMB 1 per batch, thereby lowering the expense associated with under-softening. For fabrics that are difficult to soften, we provide tailored formulation ratios rather than simply switching to a different softener.

When compared with Demai’s sample at the same dosage, the hair-removal performance is essentially the same. However, the customer has very high requirements for color and luster; today we specifically tested a sensitive shade. After washing, the pH remained at 4.5, and the difference in color and luster compared with Demai is minimal. Moving forward, we still need to further optimize the neutral-pH formulation to enhance its hair-removal efficacy. Previous sampling and analysis showed that Demai’s acidic enzyme achieves about 40–50% activity under LFH conditions, whereas our product offers better value for money.
