Scope of Application

A leveling agent or streak-covering agent suitable for nylon dyeing.

Process Application

1. Leveling agent for acid dyes
Nylon leveling agents exhibit affinity for both dyes and fibers, balancing the dye uptake rates of different dyes, enhancing color uniformity, and preventing streaking. The dosage depends on the desired shade depth and the liquor ratio; a recommended range is 0.3–1%. In general, to achieve optimal compatibility, a higher dosage is advisable for lighter shades than for darker ones.
2. Pre-boiling method
If the fiber has a particularly distinct structure, it is recommended to pre-boil and scour the nylon with an evening agent and acetic acid:
Acetic acid (98%): 0.5–1.5%
Nylon leveling agent: 0.5–1%
Temperature/Time: 96–98°C × 30 min
3. Defect Correction
For dyeing defects such as excessive color depth or uneven dyeing, nylon leveling agents can be used to correct or strip the dye, allowing the color shade to be adjusted in the same bath or in a clean dye bath; therefore, complete decolorization is not required beforehand.
Nylon leveling agent: 1–2%
Temperature/Time: 100℃ × 30 min
