How to use
· Dyeing finished garments with direct, reactive, or sulfur dyes, or treating garments dyed with discharge dyes or denim apparel.
· The degree of dehydration and drying depends on the final result, with a required residual moisture content of 40–70%. Special care must be taken to avoid over-drying, as this could leave nearly dry patches on the finished garment.
· Snow is best used in drum-type machines that have no openings. Alternatively, Snow can be placed in a plastic bag, or, once the machine is completely dry, all openings can be sealed with plastic sheeting or cardboard before loading the garments. The concentration of Snow can be adjusted within the 5–20% range depending on the desired final effect.
· Snow can be used on its own, or it can be mixed thoroughly with sand or salt before being applied to garments.
· Run the tumble dryer for 10–20 minutes, remove the treated garments, rinse thoroughly, then neutralize with a 1–2 g/L molybdenum neutralizing agent at 50°C for 10 minutes, followed by another rinse and softening treatment.
Remarks
To improve uniformity, it is recommended to pre-treat with a penetrant before using Snow.
Place the finished garments into the washing machine and add 10–20% penetrant. After running for 10 minutes, proceed with the Snow process.
