I. Customer Name
A sand-washing plant in Huzhou
II. Scope of Services
Sample: Anhydrous Enzyme XH-1475
Customer Process
1. Desizing: Apply anti-staining paste at 100–200 g for 5 minutes at 50°C, followed by washing with 250 g of laundry detergent.
2. Passing water
3. Enzyme solution 400 g, enzyme powder 400 g, dye-resistant paste 100 g, laundry detergent 250 g, at room temperature for 20 minutes.
4. Passing through water
Fiberization anhydrous process
1. Desizing: Desizing enzyme, 300 g, 50°C for 10 minutes
2. Enzyme solution: 400 g; anhydrous enzyme 1475: 1,000 g; dye-resistant paste: 200 g; treat at room temperature for 20 minutes. 3. Rinse with water.
Experimental results: The color uniformity is generally consistent, achieving the standard water-based effect; the waterless process tends to produce a slightly bluer tone, mainly because it hasn’t undergone the water-bleaching step. The finished product will require subsequent bleaching, but the overall difference is minimal.
3. Due to the use of desizing enzymes in the waterless process, the hand feel is softer than that of conventional processes; therefore, less softener should be used in subsequent softening treatments.
IV. Feedback
The customer subsequently selected a desizing enzyme for large-scale desizing; however, due to concerns about the “blue-back” issue, the anhydrous enzyme was not used.
